LOP Sliders at the Grange

Camaraderie and Artistic Exercise 

The LOP Sliders Social Ballroom Dance club meet at the Mt. Vernon Grange Hall located at 3185 Bell Rd., Auburn, CA 95603 every Monday from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Couples and singles of all levels are welcome. Mt. Vernon Grange Hall boasts over 2,000 sq. ft of hardwood dance floor area without obstructions. Dancers from Nevada County, Placer County and surrounding areas are invited to our regular Monday dance practice as well as our monthly dances. 

 

The LOP Sliders was conceived in 2008 at Lake of the Pines as one of their sanctioned clubs. With the renovation of the clubhouse commencing in April 2012, the club had to find a new place to meet. Fortunately for us, the Mt. Vernon Grange Hall was available at a price we could not afford to pass up. Although Slider members do not have to join the Grange in order to become dance club members, it is encouraged to keep our hall rental cost down.

 

The club members meet every Monday to practice a predetermined dance style. Tuesday evenings, we meet at the DeWitt Senior Center to receive professional lessons; whatever we learn at the DeWitt Senior Center on Tuesday we practice at the Grange Hall the following Monday.
